MASTERY OF LOVE

Don Miguel Ruiz, in his book, “The Mastery of Love.’ Speaks of how we are all born with innocence, and how we automatically know how to forgive and to love. He says a little child will still defend itself ( think about how a child immediately cries if hurt) but then the child is ready and willing to immediately forget and to forgive.

He speaks of how our emotional bodies become full of wounds and our minds are full of fear. Then, we practice anger, jealousy and sadness and self rejection and we become Masters in Unforgiveness.”

We must have awareness of how we operate.

The fear of being hurt creates a big drama.

The create denial – we wear social masks.

Ruiz explains that this is what the toltecs call the dream of hell.

As we forget the truth of who we really are we create whatever we believe to be true. We program the information of fear and domestication by repetition.
We become afraid we are not good enough.

The need to be accepted is born. people’s opinions become important.

We have a fear of rejection and so we pretend to be what we are not.

We strive to be good enough for our religion, our family and our society etc.

We create an image
When the fear becomes too great we have mental illness, psychoses, and schizophrenia etc.

This is when the wounds are so painful and our mind so frightened it becomes better to break contact with the outside world.

He speaks of how there is a Personal Dream and a Dream of the Planet. The dream of the planet is law, religion, culture and rules of society – all made up by man. Illusion. This is called the Mitote.

We are all Life, but the Mitote keeps us from seeing what we really are.
He asks us to imagine living this way on a planet where everyone relates with love, but if no-one else is like you, how can you relate to those who are sick and in fear?

In order to change this he explains that we must become Masters of Love.
LITTLE CHILDREN WHO HAVE NOT YET BEEN WOUNDED ARE ALREADY MASTERS OF LOVE. THEY……

Express what they feel.
React, defend, but THEN just let go.
Play all the time – sing and dance.
Laugh all the time.
Have a powerful imagination
Are on an adventure of exploration.
Live in the moment
Are not ashamed of the past.
Are not worried about the future.
Are not afraid to love.
Are innocent and natural.
THERE IS ALWAYS ANOTHER WAY
